Private Practice Support for Therapists

I have been where you are…..

…craving the freedom that comes with a counseling private practice while at the same time terrified about actually pulling it off. I’ve spent hours and hours AND hours researching and learning about all things private practice. I’ve participated in trainings and gathered countless resources: books, podcasts, blogposts, etc. To build my practice, yes… But also, I love this stuff!

We can talk office space, paperwork, insurance vs. self-pay, marketing, finances/taxes, etc. My goal is for you to have a SUSTAINABLE practice—so we will also talk self-care. I can help you get clear about the clients you do your best work with (your niche) & support you in defining your boundaries (e.g. how to handle late-cancels & no-shows). Mostly what I want you to know is YOU CAN DO THIS.

As an introvert (and someone that struggles with anxiety), the idea of marketing my practice felt really scary. For any of you that feel the same, here’s what I’ve learned. You don’t have to go to networking events. You totally can, but you don’t HAVE to. There are other ways to market your practice- I can support you in building an online presence—a PsychToday profile, website, social media pages, etc. The beauty of private practice is you get to do it your own way!

As you are building your practice, you will most definitely experience impostor syndrome, but this is 100% normal and to be expected. Your colleagues experience it too. I promise.
